Assalamualaikum
Hye. Good Morning. Lately, i've been busy with work for a whole week and having less time for myself. No time to write an entry or even share anything on my blog. Well today, i do wanna share a bit about doodling. I'm not a professional doodler or a graphic designer, but i just wanna share a piece of my mind about doodling. From an amateur view. If you are a doodling newbie, i hope this entry help you guys.
Firstly, there are many types of doodling. There are in Zen tangles, typography, shapes and lines and many more. But don't fret and let us don't get confused with all this types of doodles. Today i wanna show you guys a less stressful and more FUN doodling which is a simple and plain doodling.
Have a sketchpad or just an A4 paper to get going. A ball pen would be enough for you beginners to start doodling. As you have an idea of what to doodle, and become good, you might consider a variation of utencils such as a Sharpie, colour pencils and copic liners with variety of sizes. But for a newbie, lets stick with a ball pen or a pencil.
Doodling is a random drawing that you've done unconsciously or unfocused. So your drawing must be about something about what you like, let it be a line, shapes, an animal or even foods. Just start draw randomly on your sketchpad. Anything. You don't need to be fancy or try to hard as long as you start to draw something.
STEP 3:Get some Inspiration
Try do some search on doodles over the net. Lookout for other pros doodles and get inspired. Get on Pinterest, Instagram or DeviantArt as this is the medium doodlers shared their artwork. Try to get an idea on what you want to doodle or if you are stalled, try to copy their doodles as the first step.
Whatever you do, practice a lot. Practice makes perfect. I am still practicing and hope one day my doodles are recognizable all over the world!
That's all. Adios amigos!
